Mobile Banking App from Burgan Bank, is a service for all mobile users that makes banking through your mobile simple and secure.

You can download the application from the App and Google Play store, but to use all its features and services you will have to be subscribed to the mBanking channel at Burgan Bank. Once you have subscribed to the mBanking channel and downloaded the application, you can log in using your BurganOnline user name and password. Nevertheless, some services (basic) are available even without subscription and doesn't require login in.

Basic Features (No login required)

ATM & Branch Locator

To locate your nearest ATM or branch, tap the locator icon. By default, you'll be redirected to the Branch locator page. When using the service for the first time, a message stating that the app wants to use your current location information will be displayed. Click Ok to permit it or Don't Allow to deny the action.

*kindly note that denying the location permission will prevent the locator service from working.

Branch Locator

A map showing the locations of all Branches will be displayed. The color purple will indicate the nearest branch based on your current location that is detected by your device. Tap the location of a certain branch to view its detailed address. Double tapping the location will zoom in showing more details on the map. To view a list of all branches, tap the list button on the upper right corner of the screen. In the list of branches that appears, tapping a branch entry will take you to a page showing the exact location of the selected branch on the map along with detailed info about that branch.

ATM Locator

A map showing the locations of all ATMs will be displayed. The color purple will indicate the nearest ATM based on your current location that is detected by your device. Tap the location of a certain ATM to view its detailed address. Double tapping the location will zoom in showing more details on the map. To view a list of all ATMs, tap the list icon on the upper right corner of the screen. In the list of ATMs that appears, tapping an ATM entry will take you to a page showing the exact location of the selected ATM on the map along with detailed info about that ATM.

Tip: you can switch between ATM and Branch locator screens using the icons at the bottom bar of either screens.

Rates

Rates selection provides two services; Currency Convertor and Currency Rates. When you tap the Rates icon, two new icons for the mentioned services appear. Following is an illustration of the use of these two services.

Currency Rates

When you tap this icon, the Currency Convertor screen appears. By default, the screen displays a list currencies "Sell" and "Buy" prices against Kuwaiti Dinar.

​​Currency Convertor

When you tap this icon, the Currency Convertor screen appears. By default, the screen displays currencies "Sell" and "Buy" prices against Kuwaiti Dinar. To convert between two different currencies, do the following:

  • Tap the "From" button to view its options. A list of currencies will appear, scroll until you find the desired currency.
  • Do the same at the "To" button to select the currency you wish to convert to, e.g., from AED to KWD.
  • Type the amount in the "Amount" field.
  • Tap Convert. The amount in the destination currency will automatically appear at the bottom of the screen.
  • To reverse the conversion operation between the same "From" and "To" currencies for the same amount, tap the switch button, i.e. in this example it will perform the conversion from KWD to AED after the reversal.
Demo

Tapping the Demo icon launches a slide-show composed of screen shots that demonstrate the app's uses and its main functionalities. Slide on the screen to move between the pages.

Contact us

When you tap the Contact us icon, a contact information list containing postal addresses, and phone numbers is displayed. You will be able to establish a phone call by tapping a phone number in the list also you will be able to email Burgan bank but tapping the "Email Us" button.

Customer based services ( Login required )

​Log In

At the Login page, enter your user ID then tap the Login button. If the user ID is authenticated successfully you will be prompted with a security question that you have specified when subscribing to the BurganOnline, you should enter the answer to that question. In case the answer was correctly entered you will be presented with your site key image and phrase to verify and enter your login password.

The Password is Case Sensitive. Case sensitive means that the characters must be in proper case (uppercase/ lowercase) as set by you e.g. “A” / ”a”. Please always check your keyboard “Caps Lock” key before entering the characters.

Home Page

The app Home screen appears after a successful login. The icons in this page each serve a certain functionality provided by the app. The functionality of each icon will be explained next.

Account Services

The Account Services section contains info about your accounts, tapping the account services icon you will be presented by a screen that contains a list of all your accounts with their current balance in the account currency; also you will find the Available balance in a label under the list of accounts. Below the accounts list you can choose between three options:

  • Account Details:
    Choosing account details will provide you with screen that contains detailed info about your accounts. Swiping left or right on the top of the page will allow you to change the selected account.
  • Last Transactions:
    Choosing last transactions will provide you with detailed info about your last transactions on an account, you will be able to view the transaction type, transaction amount and your balance after that transaction. Swiping left or right on the top of the page will allow you to change the selected account.
  • Statement By Date:
    Choosing statement by date will provide you with a screen to choose the statement From/To dates; tap the From button to choose the from date and tap the blue done button to confirm your choice, also tap the To button to choose the to date and tap done to confirm your choice. Tap the "request statement" button to view a detailed list of all the transactions that took place between the chosen period Swiping left or right on the top of the page will allow you to change the selected account.

Transfers

Two transfer services are presented with this selection; Between your Own Accounts and to Other Burgan Accounts.

  • Transfers between Own Accounts:​
    Tap the Transfers icon in the home screen then select Transfer between Own Accounts. Two lists containing your accounts will be displayed as "From Account" and "To Account". Complete the following steps to perform transfer:​
    • Select the source account by scrolling through the "From Account" list and positioning the desired account at the grey selection area. The "From Account" balance will be displayed under the list.
    • Select the destination account by scrolling through the "To Account" list and positioning the desired account at the grey selection area.
    • Make sure you select a different account than that selected in the "From Account" list. The "To Account" balance will be displayed under the list.
    • Type the desired transfer amount
    • Type in your password in the Password field
    • Finally tap on Transfer

    Note: if you select two accounts with different currencies, the transfer will be done in the currency of the destination account i.e., "To Account". A pop up message stating that a cross currency transfer is about to take place and containing the value of the transferred amount in the currency of the destination account will appear.
  • Transfers to other Burgan Accounts
    ​Tap the Transfers icon in the Home screen then select Transfer to other accounts in Burgan. Two lists of accounts will be displayed as "From Account" and "To Beneficiary". The first will contain your accounts, while the second will display the beneficiaries' accounts that you have predefined.

    Complete the following steps to perform the transfer operation:

    • Select the source account by scrolling through the "From Account" list and positioning the desired account at the grey selection area. The "From Account" balance will be displayed under the list.
    • Select the destination account by scrolling through the "To Beneficiary" list and positioning the desired account at the grey selection area. The balance will not be displayed here.
    • Type the desired transfer amount.
    • Type in your password in the Password field
    • Tap on Transfer

    Note: if you select two accounts with different currencies, the transfer will be done in the currency of the destination account "To Beneficiary". A pop up message stating that a cross currency transfer is about to take place and containing the value of the transferred amount in the currency of the destination account will appear.

Cards

You can choose between stopping credit cards or ATM cards.

  • Stop ATM card
    To stop your ATM card, do the following:
    from the reasons list scroll to choose a reason for stopping the card, tap Stop card.
  • Stop Credit cards
    To stop a credit card, do the following:
    From the list of your cards, scroll until you find the desired card and select it.
    Tap the "select a reason button" from the list that appears scroll to select a reason. Tap Stop card.
Preferences

Use the Preferences screen to modify the nicknames of your accounts.

To Modify an account nickname do the following:
  • From Preferences main screen tap "change accounts nicknames".
  • Tap the "Edit" button next to the account you want to modify.
  • In the pop up type in the new nickname and tap "confirm"
